WLUW 88.7 FM is the student-run independent radio station broadcasting from the School of Communication at Loyola University Chicago. WLUW is dedicated to broadcasting independent music and informative talk programming.
WLUW broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and streams worldwide. You can also catch us at nearly every Chicago music festival. WLUW seeks to provide the leading college radio experience in Chicago. We are a source of learning and growth for Loyola students, and we broaden Loyola University’s core values through the medium of radio and digital media.

We are a non-commercial radio station. Underwriting and donor announcements on WLUW are given to acknowledge or to publicize those businesses and individuals who support our broadcasting program. Announcements are scheduled accordingly, limited to a maximum of 60 seconds, and can include the following information:
- Donor’s Business Name
- Donor’s Business Location
- Donor’s Business Telephone Number
- Non-comparative descriptions of the products or services offered by the donor

WLUW is a student-run non-profit organization. Because we are a non-commercial station, all of the money we receive is in the form of donations. All donations are used to keep the integrity of our station. Your donations keep our station spinning the amazing music we’ve continued to play for the last 40 years.
