ICYMI: Samuel Aaron Live At WLUW

On July 24th, Samuel Aaron performed live at Loyola University Chicago’s convergence studio. With bandmates Tyler Thenstedt, Chris “Murph” Rohner, Kaysen Chown, and Zak Taylor, Aaron performed songs from his debut album Rambler, released last May. The session offered a mix of explosive indie anthems and quiet, fingerpicked ballads. “Hotel Lobby” and a stripped-back rendition of “Aphasia” were standouts. Aaron delivered a unique blend of folk, rock, and R&B; his smooth vocals blended well with the violin and pedal steel backing offered by his bandmates.
